  • The Inspired Teaching School

The Inspired Teaching School will implement the philosophy and instructional approach of Center for Inspired Teaching.

The school will be based on the following beliefs:

  • Children are inherently good and have an innate desire to learn
  • Every child can be successful in school
  • Children’s energy, unique talents, and individuality are assets, not obstacles.
  • Every student possesses the ability to think critically, learn and understand information, and solve complex problems
  • Every student should spend their time in school engaged primarily in these kinds of activities.

Primary methods of instruction will include inquiry-based methods and active learning approaches, where the teacher serves as facilitator and coach to support student learning. Instruction will include an emphasis on social-emotional learning, and classrooms will be student-centered with students working in small collaborative groups, individually, and through child-initiated play.

    I second all of the above. Everyone at the school has been wonderful and supportive and we are truly impressed with the quality and kindness of our teachers. Our son has blossomed there in just over a month since he's been there, and several friends have commented on how much happier he seems. Thank you ITS, for teaching what truly matters..

    We could not be happier with a school. What a wonderful community to support the growth of our children. Their loving and thoughtful approach to teaching is so brave, I find myself admiring the staff on a daily basis for all the energy they put in to ensuring a nurturing learning environment.
