HomeBldersCare has 2 properties to renovate this fall! Help us shelter 5 more homeless youth PLUS give 3 autistic gentlemen a new home.
Home Builders Care is a charitable construction program that works with other nonprofits to build and improve shelter for those in need. Our goal is to help our neighbors in need improve their quality of life and achieve stability.
Every day thousands of people are in need of safe shelter in the greater Washington DC area. Hundreds of non-profits working for the most vulnerable in our communities have budgets stretched thin. The waiting list for supportive housing is constant.
For years, Home Builders Care Foundation has been making a difference.
We have taken on construction projects to add beds. We have built new shelters for the homeless. We have transformed once-abandoned apartments to develop new units of low-income housing. We have make repairs and improvements to make safe and comfortable scores of supportive housing facilities. We have donated millions of dollars in technical assistance, volunteer hours, professional skilled labor, and building materials for construction projects that help the homeless and others in need.
This fall we have two projects in the works. The first, a $90,000 repair project, will help Sasha Bruce Youthwork increase bed capacity at its 24-hour emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth. The second, an $85,000 project, will reconfigure and renovate a townhome to help add a much needed new unit and help Community Service for Autistic Adults meet the demanding needs of its residents.
Please make a contribution. Every dollar helps. Give today. Thank you!
