Autism. A $60 billion dollar a year problem affecting 1% of the population of U.S. children. Step up, help out: 1 Day to #Give2MAX NOV 9th!

Autism is an area of life people may assocaite with that "special ed" gorup of people that are slow learners or have nervous ticks in their characteristics. The truth is, austism has many faces and affects young children and adults. Everyone knows the movie "Rain Man" and can even quote a few notable moments from tom Cruise or Dustin Hoffman. Imagine having a family member as your "Rain Man." How do you manage a household around the needs of one person that may be great at things that involve repetition but can't stand to be touched or understand the expression of "I love you?"

CSAAC Foundation reaches out to families that want to make the best of their time and resources with a loved one living with autism. A tour of the facilities will show you there are programs and dedicated staff to build the skills of people through music, art, speaking, communication and even finding employment. The service that stands out the most is CSAAC also provides in home care management so the entire family life is not disrupted and instead an autistic child or adult can be among family and learn to live life like every other non-autistic person.

I'm looking to you to help CSAAC build on its programs that assists families with living and loving their autistic loved one.
