DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA EMPLOYMENT JUSTICE CENTER
The EJC uses experienced employment law attorneys and policy advocates to protect the legal rights of low-wage workers in the DC metro area.
We are the only organization in D.C. that provides free legal advice to low-wage workers in addition to advocating for needed changes in workplace fairness laws. We are in a unique position to advocate for low-income workers because we can identify needed changes in the law based on the real-life cases we see every day at our Workers’ Rights Clinic.
In just over a decade, the EJC has returned more than $6.25 million dollars to the pockets of low-wage workers, achieved many legislative victories that have touched the lives of countless workers, and educated more than ten thousand workers about their rights and responsibilities on the job. We believe that in securing, protecting and promoting workplace justice for the most vulnerable among us, we raise the floor of workplace rights for us all.
