ALLIANCE FOR CONSUMER EDUCATION

The Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote responsible and beneficial use of products to ensure a safer, healthier and cleaner environment in homes, businesses and the community. With community projects and respective websites, ACE strengthens communities across the country through education.

• Did you know almost 70% of people who tried inhalants for the first time last year were under age 18? Furthermore, that 12 year olds are more likely to use inhalants than cocaine, marijuana, and hallucinogens combined?
  Inhalant Abuse Prevention (the deliberate inhalation or sniffing of common products found in homes and communities with the purpose of "getting high”) is ACE’s flagship program. ACE believes education and awareness are the key tools for combating the problem. Learn more at Inhalant.org

• Did you know that more than 200,000 people are hospitalized for flu-related complications each year?
  ACE’s Disease Prevention Program teaches simple steps on how to keep you and your family safe and healthy by providing necessary information to break the cycle of disease transmission. Learn more at StopGerms.org

• Did you know unintentional poisoning was 2nd only to motor vehicle crashes as a cause of unintentional injury death for all ages in 2007?
  Heroes of the Health League is an all encompassing look at the home. The program covers topics relating to poison prevention, proper disposal and storage, pet safety, fire safety, and sustainability concepts (light usage, water usage, recycling, etc). Learn more at ConsumerEd.org
