Women who have been savagely raped would have no place to go for help to overcome the trauma they have suffered. Women who have been severely beaten by their partners would have nowhere to turn for assistance in getting their lives back together. Many thousands of pleas for help in desperate times would go unanswered. The services provided by the staff of the Center for Abused Persons truly are a lifeline for those with dire needs.
